UltraPAT: High Sensitivity Processes Analytical Technologies for Pharma Enabled by Advances in Deep UV Spectroscopy

High potency, small molecule drugs and continuous flow manufacturing is a growth area in in Pharma. As such there is an increasing need for technologies that not only automate the analysis but those that can achieve higher sensitivities (<<1%) with high reliability are key. We present a new deep UV based system, UltraPAT, that leverages technologies that we have developed for space exploration, and applies them to PAT in areas such as continuous flow feed frames, blenders, and rapid cleaning verification. This talk will discuss the detection methodology, capabilities/performance, and discuss the wide ranging opportunities enabled by the UltraPAT instrument.
