Tips and Tricks for Efficient Sample Preparation for PFAS Analysis
Information
The sample preparation of any matrix for PFAS analysis is know to be difficult, given the susceptibility to contamination and the low levels in which PFAS compounds are present. There is increasing concern of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in our world, due to their persistent nature and noted widespread detection throughout a vast array of matrices. More and more regulations regarding PFAS are being implemented with action limits that are continuing to decrease. Having a harmonized sample preparation methods to accurately determine the PFAS content in solid matrices is important to ensuring long-term detection and regulation. This leaning lab will cover some tips and tricks on how to achieve harmonized sample preparation methods for PFAS analysis.
