Information
Christopher Pohl is the 2025 winner of LCGC International’s Lifetime Achievement in Chromatography Award. He is the retired vice president of chromatography chemistry at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Pohl spent 45 years in the industrial sector researching and developing technologies and products in all aspects of ion chromatography. His work focuses on the areas of polymeric stationary phase development, separation methods, detection technologies, including suppressors, post column systems, and electrochemical methods.
Katelynn Perrault Uptmor is the 2025 winner of LCGC International’s Emerging Leader in Chromatography Award. She is currently an assistant professor of Chemistry at the College of William & Mary. Her research focuses on complex analytical separations using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) to interrogate odor samples that play a role in life, health, disease, and death. She also researches fundamental GCxGC developments for nontargeted analysis in highly complex samples, focusing on mixture resolution, sustainable sampling, and statistical multivariate class differentiation.
