Information

The presentation will focus on molecular spectroscopy ranging from studies of the Jovian atmosphere to mineral inclusions in the human body. The Molecular Microspectrscopy Laboratory (MML) was established in 1984 to provide state-of-the-art molecular microspectroscopy instrumention to scientist in academic government and industrial laboratories throughout the world. Instrument manufacturers used the MML as a demonstration laboratory and resource for the development of new technologies. Special emphasis will be placed on instrument developments and their application to forensic analysis of fibers and the etiology of mineral inclusion formation in humans. Many of these efforts were conducted in collaboration with this year’s Williams Wright Awardee Dr. David Schiering.
