Information

Resonance Raman spectroscopy reveals vibrational structures of chromophores within a complex mixture. The Raman spectra of absorbing species in a mixture vary with the excitation wavelength. Thus, the acquisition of multi-wavelength resonance Raman spectra can reveal the structures and local environments of the chromophore as well as the composition of the mixture. This presentation will focus on the use of UV resonance Raman spectroscopy to characterize mixtures of biological and commercial samples.
