In this presentation, we unveil the revelation of numerous previously undiscovered microbiota-derived metabolites by harnessing publicly available untargeted metabolomics data. These innovative strategies are shedding light on entirely novel and uncharted pathways and biological processes within animals, including humans. Our discussion will delve into the computational methods employed to identify microbial metabolites, their distribution within organs, the influence of health conditions, and interventions that reshape their profile. These findings collectively contribute to the intriguing concept of a microbial encoder- host decoder communication highway.
