Information

High-throughput analysis has become increasingly important in order to meet the critical challenges in the pharmaceutical industry. Such challenges arise due to the advances in combinatorial chemistry, greater demands in early pharmaceutical profiling of new chemical entities (NCEs) and the needs to closely monitor therapeutic drugs in preclinical and clinical trials with ever shortening timelines. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with mass spectrometry (MS) has become a ubiquitous analytical technique in the pharmaceutical industry. The combination of LC with MS adds an orthogonal detection dimension, which provides extraordinary sensitivity, selectivity, and high throughput. This presentation will focus on the introduction of high throughput concept, how to improve high throughput and how to deal with the challenges from LC-MS.
