Room 26A
Symposium
Instrumentation & Nanoscience
Information
The main objective of the symposium is to promote fundamental and practical aspects behind the green analytical technologies. Both novel green analytical chemistry approaches as well as modified traditional schemes, will be covered. Technologies suitable for screening applications will be emphasized. Green Metrics will be discussed considering key criteria such as reagent toxicity, waste production, energy consumption and user safety. Focus would be on solutions based on miniaturization, use of nanomaterials to solve critical issues facing society. In addition, a comprehensive assessment of the method in terms of balancing its greenness with functionality including analytical and practical criteria will be discussed. The symposium will encourage development of green analytical regulatory methods, which will contribute to reduced footprint of humans on the Earth.
